Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here's a recipe from Nestle that I thought was appopriate for a Wednesday. Sorry, there's no mid-process picture as I had flour, cocoa and baking soda explode all over one counter. Note to self - keep mixer on low speed until ingredients are mostly mixed.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels

Preparations:

  1. COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

  5. Stir in morsels. Drop by well-rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE at 375 for 9 to 11 minutes or until centers are set.

These are really good. The Double Chocolate Chip Cookies are #2 behind the original Monster Cookies.

Loved everything about these cookies! It's a good thing they're not sitting on my desk... The white chocolate chips are a perfect match for the soft chocolate cookie. Mmmm!
