Snickerdoodles

This recipe comes from the Better Homes and Garden cookbook. It's easy and they are very tasty. Not quite as great or as big as the ones from Paradise Cafe, but still good.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup of flour
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of butter, softened
1 egg
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparations:
  1. Combine butter, egg, vanilla and sugar. Beat well.
  2. Separately, mix flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  3. Mix both sets of ingredients.
  4. Refrigerator dough for an hour.
  5. Mix sugar and cinnamon on a plate. Roll dough in balls and dip in sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake at 375 for approximately 12 minutes.
