Spicy and Sweet Honey Chili from Food.com in a Crock pot

After last weeks hot chili, my husband became convinced that it was possible to make a chili that's both sweet and spicy. I think this recipe calls for at least two cans of diced tomatoes. (Add the 2nd if you agree. :)





Ingredients:
  • 2lbs ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 cup sweet onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 diced jalapeno peppers
  • 2 - 15 ounce cans of kidney or chili beans
  • 1 - 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup honey
Preparations:
  1. Pour meat into 6 quart crock pot.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients. Mix well. 
  3. Cook on low for 4 hours.
