I had never heard of butter pecan cake until recently. I made this cake for my friend's birthday which just happens to be the same day as mine. She liked it a lot and thought this frosting was great. This recipe comes from
Allrecipes.com. I didn't have time to make a cake from scratch so I used a Betty Crocker mix. :)
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup toasted pecans
Preparations:
- Combine milk and vanilla, beating until light and fluffy. Add additional milk if needed. Stir in remaining 1/3 cup toasted pecans.
- Spread over cooled cake.
