Chili

This is a proud moment for me because I have overcome the chili curse. Well, it wasn't a curse as much as an inability to create my own recipe. Yesterday though, luck was on my side and I managed to come with a really yummy chili that super easy to make.

This dish is crockpot friendly. :)

Ingredients:

1 burrito seasoning packet
1 taco seasoning packet
2 cans of kidney beans
1 can of stewed tomatoes
1 lb marinated roast
2 tablespoons diced tomatoes with Habaneros (Rotel makes a hot version)

Preparations:

Marinade meat over night. Cut into cubes. Pour kidney beans, meat, stewed tomatoes, and the tablespoons of tomatoes/Habaneros into crockpot. Add burrito seasoning and mix really well. Add half of the taco seasoning package and stir again. Cook on low for 6 hours.

You can also add onions for some extra flavor.

To make more of an impact on this you should edit your ingredients list with what is in the marinade.

Great chili! I think the taco seasoning was the trick.

Who would have guessed taco seasoning and burrito seasoning would be all it takes to flavor chili?

Excellent tasting chili. I give it 5 stars!

Please tell us how you marinated the meat and the cut of meat you used?
